Jaime has been great! His counseling methods are very professional and helpful. My sessions were online and that was amazing with my schedule. I highly recommend his services!

Kathy, USA.

Excellent professional, he knew how to respond optimally and functionally to my demand. From his sessions, I managed to find and experience a balance in all areas of my life and especially in the workplace, the main problem for which I contacted him. Not only do I absolutely recommend it, but I will not hesitate to whom to turn if the circumstances warrant it.

Claudio, Argentina.

In the year 2020 I suffered a very important crisis of anxiety and OCD contamination subtype. This situation conditioned my whole life, to the point of not being able to leave my house for months. I sought help and Jaime was recommended to me, who quickly attended me and provided all his support. We started therapy and step by step I took back control of my life again. My words are of gratitude for his excellent attention, commitment, professionalism and human quality. He is an incredible professional and I would recommend him to anyone who needs help.

Bárbara, Argentina.

My therapy with Jaime has been a turning point in my life. He is helping me unblock several aspects I was dissatisfied with and that I can now enjoy and be happy about, thanks to his useful, solid and practical tools and strategies

Agustina, Argentina.

Jaime made me feel comfortable from the first day, and accompanied me throughout a process of approximately 1 year in which he helped me become aware of the thoughts that dominated me in negative situations, and later to channel them through different practical tools. Although my original motivation to start therapy was limited to the professional field, the tools that Jaime transmitted to me transcended to other fronts and helped me to forge a fuller and happier life.

Alexis.

Therapy with Jaime has not only helped me to feel more confident but Jaime has also helped me learn to utilize many tools to allow me to be more effective in solving every day problems as they come up in life. Jaime is very flexible and willing to meet when it is most convenient for you. Its very nice to have a therapist that truly seems to care about you as a client.

Cassidy, USA.

Jaime is a person with a great ability to listen and understand his clients, and in this way he provides support in one's daily life. I had a great experience with him as a psychologist, and at all times he made me feel very comfortable.

Gonzalo, Argentina.

A couple of years ago, Jaime became my psychologist and my guide on a path of introspection and reflection. From the first moment, his professionalism and good judgment helped me build a trust on which the foundations of therapy were laid. And thanks to his help, I have found tools to deal with various situations that before, seemed colossal and unmanageable. I am very grateful and recommend his work without hesitation.

Mauricio, Argentina.

aime is a professional who knows very well how to work, not only because of his tools and knowledge in the CBT treatment, but also because of his great support as a human being. One of the closest and most pleasant professionals with whom I had the pleasure of sharing my joys, pains, achievements and failures, and that was something that made me leave his office / call very relieved after each session. I highlight his ability to transmit a beautiful trust and empathy when you are in front of him, which will help you open up to him without pressure to be a part of your story, making you feel accompanied always and unconditionally. I can only thank him infinitely for having chosen this path that he leads with an impeccable and admirable vocation.

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the treatments with the most evidence for many mental disorders. It proposes that Thoughts, Emotions and Behaviors are linked in an interdependent system. This means that what we think will affect how we feel and how we behave.

In other words, it is not the situations in life that make us feel a certain way, but the interpretation we make of those events. So, from CBT we work on the way in which the client has to process that information. For example, patients suffering from depression will tend to perceive situations with a negative and pessimistic way. Anxious people will see these situations as threatening or where they do not believe they are capable of coping.

Unlike other type of treatments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on solving the current problems that the patient brings. Sometimes, it is necessary to gather information from the past to understand what caused the problem. However, getting to the root of the problem is not the focus of this therapy. The focus will be put in what current factors are maintaining the client’s discomfort.

Another peculiarity of the treatment is that it works with punctual and specific problems, and defining clear and observable objectives. Setting goals at the beginning of treatment is the way to determine if the client is making progress with it.

How long do the treatments last?

It is difficult to determine the duration of the treatments because it will depend a lot on the problem in question. However, this type of therapy is usually focused on the problem that the person brings. Some problems subside in a few months, and others take longer.

Online therapy

Online therapy is a way of conducting therapy that allows patients to start treatment if they cannot physically travel to a face-to-face consultation.

One of the concerns of patients when consulting could be whether online therapy works as well as face-to-face therapy. Fortunately, there are hundreds of efficacy studies that have shown that online therapy is just as effective as conventional therapy.

Carrying out online therapy has a series of benefits such as: carrying out the sessions from the comfort of your home or wherever you are, being able to access treatment from a specialized professional in an area or country other than that of the consultant, and not having to move to attend the appointment which reduces costs and time.

To start an online therapy you only need a device that has an internet connection (cell phone, tablet, notebook or PC), a good internet connection and a private, quiet place free from possible interruptions.

About me

Hello! I am Jaime, I graduated as a Psychologist at the University of Buenos Aires in 2011. Right there I did a specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Dr. Eduardo Keegan, one of the greatest references in Cognitive Therapy in Argentina. Today, I participate in an advanced supervision group with him.

Since then I have been working as a clinical psychologist in the private sector. My greatest experience was given in topics related to Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Perfectionism, Procrastination, Vital Crises and Personal Development.

I worked for 3 years at the Centro Privado de Psicoterapias under the direction of Dr. Hugo Hirsch, a specialist in the field of Systemic Psychotherapy. There, in 2019, I received the Annual Award for excellence in professional performance as a therapist, an award received among 300 therapists.

During 2021 I worked at the Bio Behavioral Institute, a place specialized in patients suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
